nkzack:Are there any noteable tourist attractions in Sao Paulo?
Unfortunately Sao Paulo it's not a city with natural attractions. Sao Paulo main attractions are it's museums and theaters, the fervent nightclubs and bars, and some great architecture.
You might want to visit Ibirapuera Park. It's is a project by Oscar Niemeyer, a well maintained park with amazing architecture, it also host our Modern Art Museum and the Contemporary Art Museum, there's also the Folklore Museum and an Auditorium. Oh, an there also grass, trees a lake and all the usual park stuff... Man, that park is huge.
Other interesting place to visit is the Liberdade (Freedom) District. It's the home of the largest Japanese Community outside Japan. There you can find anything japanese related... Food, clothes, books, people, karaoke, sake, swords, wapanese people etc.
If you're into Opera, visit the Municipal Theatre of Sao Paulo.
Other interesting place is the Paulista Avenue. It's a good place to get a quick look on how the youth of Sao Paulo looks like. It's side streets hold some good night clubs, the avenue itself also host the Sao Paulo Museum of Art, the Trianon Park (Creepy place... go there when searching for ghosts). Have i mentioned the clubs and bars? There's also good restaurants. And clubs.
