    Ninja Duel-Chi Killer

my version of this deck uses the cards i have over some of the more used personalities.

You've got a n intersting mix going, im not sure how useful strength in the shadow style will be for you becauseit only works wqith scorpian clan persoanlites if you draw it t the wrong time in a duel it could hurt you especially if you faciong another dueling deck

I would consider replacing the Kursai gamas with The blade of awe, the blade of pure sould, and the katana of twilight, you dont have nay silent rots so your not going to get much milege out of them even with kyuichi.  To kill na average perosn wit a kursai gama you have to have two kyuichis out, make s it to conditional.   Either way if you want to run attachment heavy Id switch out milita traing ground for temples to gishi toshi

Also Id drop hihiko and rw eork most of your personalities, I think you have to many with a gold cost of 8 or higher and not enough traits in common.

<> as i mentioned in the original post, i'm working with the cards i have, and not what i'd like...

i do have silent rot, but with a focus value of 1 it's a very dangerous thing to draw during a duel.

my list is a rework of a simmilar deck i'd seen at a tournament, but that had cards that i'm just not going to be able to get in my area -.-

the Gama are in there for Kyuichi, but in a different way then you might think. the idea of this deck is to cripple opposing duelists and then force them into duels. my local gaming store has a climate of 3 other dueling decks, each of which is either dragon, crane or scorpion and a Lion running 'Tactical Toolbox'

the other combo that you may not see is the Dragon Magistrate and Bayushi Saya. i use dishonor to keep the Honor runner from slipping away before i'm ready to hit them.

between Tenbin, Hihiko & Eisaku, i can really keep people guessing what i'm really up to, and to snipe out key Dynasty cards

the only change that i could think of is to trade out the Crane Magistrate for the experienced Kurumi , just because she's nails..

with note to the costing of my personalities, all clan guys are paid for at 2 less then printed, all i need honor for are getting the three non-clan cards into play, hopefully Muketsu coming up after they do, though i've managed to play him first and still have the honor to sneak the others in.

Curious about all the rings?? Fire in a duelist I can understand, earth I can see to help take the prov. But water and Void?? There are alot better cards out there than cards with a 4 focus value and cool focus effect. I don't remember the name of the card but the focus effect is the winner of this duel get +3 Force. Im running a Ninja deck the work off alot of poison token and other penalties the react off each other. I like the idea of a dueling deck though.

ALso I run an Exp Kurumi with Kyuichi thats a hire killer in itselt. The guys at my Store hate it. I can take out big guy without before going into battle only bowing Kurumi. And the reaction doesn't cost Kyuichi to bow.  so then the run in and take the prov.

Id keep ring of void in there if your dueling, because card draw is really important in dueling decks in my experience.  Speaking of card draw Is also try and get a shrine to furkohin (or however its spelled) its not a very expensive card and its really useful.  I'd also thry and get ahold of 3 kurondashes an uncomonn samurai tactican duelist ronin form the new set and he has 5 chi which is nice out of the stronghold your running.  I can see running the kursai gamas to hurt other decks, seems okay for casual play but to slow for competive. Id try and fit some routs in thre in place of the improptu duels.  It can get rid of a clan armour and most people rfuse impromptu deul anyways

a refused duel is where i get the honor for playing Hideo or the Dragon Duelist, which is what i expect them to do. this deck is made around duelling first, and the ninja angle second. just so happens all the decent scorpion duelists are ninja...

as for the shrine to Furikojiben (or whatever) i would be using one, if i had it. for now the training grounds makes up for it,

<>  and protects me from the lion toolbox tricks.

Kuronada may be a strong choice, but Nagiken and Hideo just feel more useful... maybe remove the Arunsa and Idzuki?

    Re: Ninja Duel-Chi Killer

Hideo is an auto win in a duel no matter what. I'm thinking of ways putting him in my deck, sadly with his HR its nigh impossible. Water is good since duelling's main weakness is Cavalry decks which maneuver around them due to the lack of RTG and Doomed. Tale of Tsukuro would also be nice.

ok, time for an update. ^^

i ditched the pair of Arunsa for a Kurumi (Xp) and a Kuronada, everything else is pretty much the same.

played a game against Crane Duelist. it was short, sweet and Decisive.

i landed Hideo, Kurumi and a pair of Kyuichi by turn five, proceed to cripple to death his best duelist with Kurumi and the ninja reactions

he concedes three turns later, 2 provinces down and no personalities on his field, and his two remaining provinces came up as Holdings

my Gama-equipped Ninja romp home for the win.

Ive been tinkering with my own dueling deck a bit trying to make a bit of a switch deck ( decided I want to fit in sya to stand more of a chance against honor runners) If you can fit in a few more coutiers Kuriemi exp if you can get her and maybe 2-3 of something else you might consider running two front war ( about a 3 dollar card) which is a great movment card and misdirections if you can get ahold of them.

this shapes up rather well, my local gamers all seem to be running duel decks, with the exception of a Lion Tactical 'toolbox' deck

after current happenings, i'm rather tempted to replace Nagiken with another Kuronada, but the abbility is rather nice... we'll see how things go.
