Call it irrational fear, but, what do you think are the chances of the ST having Noritoshi kill Jimen and assuming position / or appointing a new EC in his place  for the next arc?

I mean, it would be extremely efficient if the new Emperor had an EC from his clan. The chancellor would definitely be an asset, but the Spider advisor complicates things enough as it is. The ronin voice sounds interesting!!!!!! 

I believe that they'd have another EC Contest, unless the need for an EC was dire and urgent.  But I don't foresee Jimen dying anytime soon.  He may even outlive Noritoshi.
