Nothing assures the death will be good or memorable.
I wouldn't care if she had died at the end of Lotus, but with so many people supporting her for Chancellorship I think it was a wrong move that will upset many scorpion fans. If I were Bolt, I'd consider hiring a bodyguard for the next big tournament I attended.
For my part, I'd have liked that her story had developed before taking the axe. The girl has been around for more than three year, got enlightened, been played extensively, worshipped by fans, won a send-in contest and all she got back was a fiction where she got indebted to Asahina Beniha. In fact, we didn't know not a single thing about her background or story until Masters of Court was released. Saya has been denied screen time, and when she had the chance of shining perhaps becoming the chancellor, she'll get killed. I can only hope that her death will live up to the character without sinking in plot-induced stupidity.
Now it's time for campaigning for Hisoka.
