How alive is the L5R rpg?

Finally aquired the Four Winds campaign Book and am pondering on a decent Scorpion campaign in the era.

But besides that, i was wondering... is the L5R campaign still popular? I know little is published for it nowadays but the D20 SW RPG is uberpopular even after years of 'no attention' from Wizards. (curse those fools!)

Well my old gaming society in Galway, Ireland still play the RPG, but not the CCG. My new group (Sligo) play the CCG regularly and the RPG occasionally.

    No regrets.

We play the Rpg every monday night.

Much of the social history of the western world has been replacing what worked with what sounded good.

We've all been very busy here but we play the RPG intermittently. It is what first attracted me to L5R.

I started up playing the 3rd edition LR5 rpg with my games group a few weeks back, and it's gone down amazingly well, from being the only owner of a copy of the rules there's now 5 of us with it, and the queue to get into the game's got to such an extent I'm looking at running another occasional night to keep people interested. Folks who've never played L5R are falling in love with the background and the roll and keep system.

The RPG is certainly alive and kicking in my neck of the woods.

We're actually (kind of) playing the RPG right here in one of the threads.

I think Winter Court also gave the RPG a boost.  Given that they are publishing (and selling) books for it, I'd say it's doing...well, at least okay, and maybe even fine.

I would also suggest that the recent movement in favor of Forum-RPGs has been a big boost for the game.  I know that it has hooked 5 new players in my playgroup alone; none of us have time to sit down and game together, but playing RPGs online by forum means that we can cater out playing to our schedules, but still play together.

Yes, and the game we're playing right here is a lot of fun.  I have to admit that I am enjoying myself.

I started RPing online and I'm not as big a fan of it as actually RPGing, because it's more fun to get together with a group of friends and play I think, but it can be fun to forum RP ^_^

I currently run  a Campaign every other Saturday that dates back 9 years and into 1st ed. We presently are running in 3rd ed. and have been very happy with the books that have come out for it after finally getting my hands on Art of the Duel, and with the release of Emerald Empire along with The Four Winds and Creatures of Rokugon having a good core of books for it.  and my hope is that it will only grow stronger.

I have a pre SCC campaign that I have been running twice a month since Spring - so far it has gone very well and I expect the campaign to last at least two or three years before my arc is closed.

I was initially concerned about being able to maintain the drama/intrigue/flavor of the RPG - but it has been much easier then I expected - I would certainly recommend the RPG to anyone interested in Roleplaying.

Loyalty is the only true virtue. If a Samurai is not Loyal, then all of the Samurai's virtues are meaningless as those virtues do not serve the Samurai's Lord - they serve the Lord's enemies.

Yeah, i've been roleplaying for a very long time. Probably longer than many of you all have been alive, and this is one fo the best RPGs I've ever had the pleasure of playing.

To be honest, I have met L5R through the RP:G first before the CCG itself and I loved and feared Scorps in the RPG and I have been RPing L5R in the longest time but stopped due to schedule constraints. I missed the RPG.
