Big Gun Oni's. I'm looking at building a deck around this idea at the moment. Basically uses our courtiers to stall the game to a point where you can bring out Sentei, Yojireru and nasty Scorp uniques like Sunetra, Shosuro and Tsimaru.

no Paneki?

Hmmm, I don't think Paneki would mesh with a deck like this.

Our champion messes with everything be sure of that.

Paneki is a neat personality but really, his strength is in the strength of the Fate card pool and at the moment that just isn't there. Once we see more diverse action cards and especially interesting Limited actions that become silly when used as opens then he will be more playable. At the moment he really just doesn't quite cut it IMHO.

\r\n\r\nI hate chain gold and combos. They never (or rarely) seem to work for me. It's just not there when I need it.

Which is why we're not doing it. =)\r\n\r\nWe have much cheaper options, imho. I really like Tha'Defender. Don't get me wrong. But he is just WAY inefficient.\r\n\r\n[EDIT] I can spell, really...

\r\n\r\nI built a deck like this and tested it. It was a lot of fun. With the gold scheme, the only courtier stall tactic you need is Maru. The big uniques and onis easily start comming out turn 3. Into the darkness and tormented plains were MVPs of the deck, and Heavily engaged for the saving of those 0 PS provinces being attacked by just one unit.\r\n\r\nI love that scorpion can run a better gold scheme than shadowlands. I also love preventing shadowlands decks from playing dark lords favor. But most of all, I love when my honor gets lower than -50.

SO no one is doing a dishonor/control build without duelling? I"m working on one now, I figured they'd be more commonplace.\r\n-T

\r\n\r\nI have one without duelling. It is highly corrupted but it has been very competetive in the local environment.

The one I'm building isn't corrupt, it just locks hard. I just need a 3rd Bokatsu and the circle will be complete. Interesting enough, Karmic Confrontation is a great card in it. \r\n-T

Been a long time ladies and gents, but I have returned from hiding. I am currently using HC/Underhand Dueling. A note to the person who asked about the use of Geisha Assassin in the dueling deck. Keep in mind that when the geisha dies (losing or tying the duel) she triggers Bayushi Shinzo, Shosuro Adeiko and in my build Swordmaster Dojo. Also if for some ungodly reason she wins the duel then you may get to play No Victory off her. \r\nI like the build.\r\nIm not to shur about the imperials though. They do have a focus of 4, but the target has to have less ph. \r\n\r\nPS for your other build, dont forget sculpting the flesh.
