Is there any way to get around the big drawback of discarding cards. This effects Motomu more than Osamito but I was wondering if anyone had any combos for these guys.\r\n\r\nI was thinking Seeds of the void until I realized it was unique and you need to discard a card to bring it back to your hand.

Path of Wisdom comes back to your hand at the end of your turns... i think. Rare from DE, 2 focus that's all i remember about it.

Recruiting drive might also be used to mitigate your losses.

Well... *if* you were using them in a Shadowed Tower deck you could just ditch a political action from your hand and then shuffle said political action back into your deck. ST allows this, since it says it'll do it on a played *or* discarded political action.\r\n\r\nAs for Yogo Towers... maybe you can go with an item deck, and run 3 Yasuki Traders for some nice item-recycling action?

Actually the Shadowed Tower does not say you may do this on a discarded political action.\r\n\r\nMy suggestion: Either use Path of Wisdom, or ditch a limited action or attachment. The abilities are well-worth it.

\r\n\r\nNo, it does not say that. \r\n\r\nPolitical Reaction: Once per turn, bow your Stronghold or one of your Courtiers after successfully playing a Political Action card to shuffle it into your Fate deck instead of discarding it. You may do this when your Stronghold is bowed.\r\n\r\nThats once per turn, after it is successful. That means, if its cancled, you cannot reshuffle it either. \r\n\r\nThere is no reliable way to recycle alot of actions. The Shoguns Barracks can get you one item back a turn. The best option would be to run Paths to wisdom if you are really that worried about having to discard cards.\r\n\r\n-

Just ditch are card that isn't winning you the game for an effect that will. The card ditched is generally irrelevant.\r\n\r\nDon't play bad cards (i.e. Path of Wisdom) simply so ditching them isn't as bad. Just play good cards.

You could always play cards that draw you more cards too... or cheat and draw more cards when you opponent isn't looking.\r\n\r\nShrine to Furukokujin with Soshi Angai is money. Ring of Void is good too, but so stupid to bring into play.\r\n\r\nAs for me, I've got my 3x Path of Wisdom Ready. I mean, not only is it good with our boys, but it brings the Seeds of the Void back too.

It all depends on the deck type you are running, you could throw a Yasuki trader in there if you play the yogo weapons deck? Though it isn't really a great card unless you have a ton of card draw? Just dump whatever you can't play "now", Path of wisdom is good, but I would run our 7G Shugenja because he has a discard action too, this is just so you could get the most use out if it.

I have already started playtesting paths of wisdom in my scorp military, and it is downright good. run it for flavor. \r\n\r\nPath of Wisdom will be a brute force in the deck. It comes back to your hand at the end of the turn ( i believe after you discard) Run 2 or try 3. You will find that it is better than what you thought. IT gives you 3 matomu actions or 3 osamito actions or a combination of them each turn. (once you have all 3) \r\n\r\n\r\n

I thought both of their actions were once per turn?, how can you use them three times?

Shoju meant you can use your 3 Path of Wisdom if you have multiple copies of Motomu and/or Osamito in battle.

Both Personalities have good abilities and a reasonable gold cost. Ditching a card is the "trade off" for those abilities. Path of Wisdom is negating the "trade off". Its a "free" Tsuruchi Technique or a "free" force boost. I wouldnt play 3x Path of Wisdom, but at least 2x with Osamito and Motomu in my deck. \r\n\r\nHmm, hmm... a worst case scenario for your opponent (just fooling around): Osamito, random scrub and Motomu + Kiss of the Scorpion. First ill make the RA without bowing, bow a unit with followers, straighten a Personality with Motomu, bow the next guy without followers - and can do this cheese next round again without loosing 4 cards. Aye, time will tell - but it could be an important card for some Scorpion decks. Its a kind of hidden card advantage. And... nice "meta" against RED as well. \r\n\r\n\r\n

In My corrupt Build, I will probably be running 3 but that's because I am planning some serious discarding technology from my hand, and I like to be able to make it painless as possible.
