 The "Explodey Hawk" as he's been called for some reason is starting to become very popular here in my local group all of a sudden.

But this has led to a few questions, namely, in regards to which cards he can destroy - it says he can destroy two cards without attachments - but does this mean he can destroy the Attachments themselves?  Or just the personalities?

Because the attachment destruction occurs at the same time, he can not destroy an attachment and then the personality the attachment was attached to... Still, you just wait a turn. He's a monster.

If you can float the honor and your a mil deck, you play him.

 But he -can- destroy the attachment?

Attachments are considered to be "cards without attachments" in l5r in general; yes, he can

hehehehe.... initial impressions

first of all, you can kill him like any other guy (arashii/yumita + arrows from the woods, KW + Kyuichi, duel, HK); if he's alone -so that he cannot bow or move- you can even play flanking action / furious assault on him, or even unexpected intimidation!
